Located
on the building behind United Enterprise on Business Highway 59.
Mr Alfred Brandes, local resident, recently deceased at 84 years of age,
trained longhorn steers to pull a cart that he made himself. This rig
could be counted upon to be in every local parade. Occasionally he would
ride his steer. As would have it, accidents sometimes happen, and on
one occassion one of the steers kicked the other steer and broke his
leg, causing him to be put down. Mr. Brandes substituted his horse and
was still able to make the parades. Mr. Brandes enjoyed all citizens,
and they in turn loved him. At first glance, this cart and horse
seem to be painted on a flat surface, but as you turn off Highway 59
onto the side street you discover the horse turns the corner also and
you note the horse and cart are on different walls.
