Painted on the TWI (Texas West Indies) building. Eleven teams of mules hitched to wagons bring rice to the mills. Painted from an actual photo. Notice the divers posing for the picture. The SP railroad once had a spur along the side of the building for loading the grain. The caricature of R.H. Hancock taken from the local CITIZEN Newspaper (circa 1910). He was sitting atop one of the mills, and was saying "Eat a bowl of rice everyday". A favorite parting saying in El Campo is "have a rice day".
